One of user’s favorite feature of Dynamics CRM is Bulk Editing, which is a feature to edit some records in a click. CRM User simply select all records he want to edit, and click More Actions → Edit.

Beside of its benefit, bulk edit feature might be misused. Last month, I faced a “big” problem, one of users in my customer site misused this feature. He changed hundreds data so that its data is duplicated.

To anticipate this issue, you should check and recheck which role you should give this feature, and don’t give this permission to all security role. To edit this permission, all you need is to open Security Role you want to check which is located on Settings → Administration → Security Roles, in Business Administration tab.

Check Bulk Edit part on Miscellaneous Privileges Section, green indicate that this Security Role is permitted for bulk editing, and blank indicate its opposite.
